Australian Power Institute Bursaries for Engineering Students

On 30 August 2016, the Australian Power Institute held its Victorian Bursary Awards ceremony at the Wilson Transformers facility in Glen Waverley. First year Engineering students with an interest in power engineering can apply for the bursary, which provides financial support over four years and also paid employment with API member companies over the university vacations.

This year there were four new bursary holders awarded in Victoria, with a total of 20 bursaries awarded across Australia. After the awards event there was a tour of the Wilson Transformers facility followed by a special interview session were 2nd and 3rd year bursary holders were interviewed for vacation placements. 

API also sponsors a limited number of class sets of STELR solar cars into schools each year and the bursary holders visit these schools to assist students to construct and race their cars and also talk to them about career options.
